Sen. Corker sadly Admits that it Looks like Health Care Reform will Pass......
he was on Charlie Rose tonight, initially to discuss the New Financial regulations
that Sen. Todd proposed today. Todd declined to be on the show, so initially I turned the channel when I realized that it would be Corker alone. Didn't feel like hearing the Republican spew on the financial regulations. Normally, Charlie Rose is done in segments, so I turned back to it 15 minutes in, just checking if another guest might have shown up.

Instead, I heard Charlie Rose ask Sen. Corker if he thought the bill would pass, and what would he do about it.

Sen. Corker said he didn't want to be quoted (so I won't quote him), but he did say that it did look like the house was poised to pass the bill, and that once that was done, there would be a reconciliation bill that would be coming to the senate, and that yeah...that would pass too. Boy he looked sad.

Then Rose asked him whether the Republicans were going to campaign on the fact that the Democrats had passed this bill. Corker said, well, when I get up in the morning after it passes, I'll just have to dust myself off and keep going. He acted like he had already lost and that he didn't necessarily feel like campaigning against this bill was gonna be a real solution for the Republicans.

2. Recommended.
Maybe after the bill passes Corker and Jim DeMint can go out and drink themselves into oblivion at The Waterloo bar.

3. Wouldn't it be cool if most groups in the progressive coalition had reason to celebrate
and if we could honestly say that we've enacted effective health policy?

Round one goes to the ever popular health insurers.

Round two- what's it going to be? Wall Street or Main Street?

13. Funny how MoveOn and most of the major progressive voices disagree with you.
Something tells me you don't represent the progressive coalition and neither does your opinion.

I have no idea what he said about Financial Regulations....
cause I can't bear the Republicans these days, especially one
who was gonna be doing a lot of talking with not Democratic counter.

7. Corker's sadness is my happiness. I have been nervous the last few days about
whether we had enough votes. Sounds like we do.

9. Dodd is my Senator. But I think I prefer Sen. Todd.
Maybe that can be Dodd's good personality. He is frustrating, sometimes does the right thing and other times totally backs down. Oh well, he will be gone soon enough.

10. Teabaggers are in the streets of DC today making one last anti-HCR push.
Wonder if Corker is out in the streets with them. ;)

11. There couldn't be that many of them.....
cause they keep using the same close up footage over and over again,
as they report on this so much more than they did any pro-HRC
to date.....as usual!
