Connecticut: Senate Hopeful Schiff Airs Radio Ad

Investor Peter Schiff, one of three Republicans running for Connecticut Senate, went up with his first advertisement Monday, an introductory radio spot touting his role in forecasting the financial crisis in 2008.

"Now Peter Schiff is running for the U.S. Senate, to the stop growth of government, and start growing our economy," a narrator says.

In the ad, which is running statewide for two weeks, Schiff also emphasizes his Connecticut roots and his humble beginnings, starting his business "out of a one bedroom apartment."

The ad concludes: "Send Peter Schiff to Washington, that town will never be the same again."

1. He is also a libertarian nut. My parents like him but they are

right leaning conservatives. My Mom even worked for his Dad, who was an accountant. But I don't think he has any polling #'s to compete with even the other Rethugs in this race, Simmons and McMahon (also a nut).
