Roll Call: Sunday Health Care Vote Increasingly Likely
Sunday Health Care Vote Increasingly Likely

March 17, 2010, 7:24 p.m.
By Steven T. Dennis
Roll Call Staff

House Democrats are likely to hold votes on their health care reform overhaul on Sunday given a continuing delay in getting a score of the package from the Congressional Budget Office.

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Chris Van Hollen (Md.) said Wednesday night that leaders hope to get the CBO cost estimate by Thursday morning and then would wait 72 hours before voting on the bill — pushing the vote to Sunday.

Democratic leaders have been furiously whipping their Caucus to line up the 216 votes they need to pass the reform measure. More Democrats announced their support on Wednesday, but leaders still have more votes to corral before final passage.

14. They won't have to approve it and won't unless every meaningful proposal is stripped from it.

6. Just as the Colts moved out of Baltimore in the middle of the night
the House is going to give us its BOHICA, with no guarantees the Senate will pass reconciliation.

We still don't know what is in the package. Congress fears the people!

7. So, the Republicans wil go to church in the morning and then vote against helping the poor
Maybe pro health care people, who are Christian and religious, should wear some uniquely colored wrist bans saying "What would Jesus do?" I can't imagine him not wanting healthcare for the poor.
