Does stupak have a reputation as someone really knowledgable about the minutea of Legislative rules?

If not, I wonder who is advising him? He’s had a chance to declare a “moral victory” (no pun intended) but admit defeat, but he seems really driven to accomplish this.

Don’t you wonder if someone has something on the guy, especially since he’s admitted that his life has been extremely difficult and he’s got to know he might even be risking his job? What’s he been threatened with and what’s he been promised.

He’s behaving like a fanatic here, and it’s actually new behavior for him.
