Is this thing getting passed or not? |
|
Edited on Sat Mar-20-10 10:20 PM by woolldog
Haven't had much time to follow all the ins and outs of the process. But I need a simple answer as to whether this is going to pass tommorrow?
Anyone know?
TIA

4. Take comfort in the fact that what ever happens no one will be happy. |
|
Also if it passes, take comfort that the tea partiers will be pissed enough to act like the assholes they are while taking all of the benefits that HCR has to offer.

6. I think it will pass but it's going to be close no matter what. |
|
Either because Pelosi has to scrape up just enough votes to get it over the line or because she releases some to vote no since she has it in the bag. I predict the final tally will be ... 218.

My last dollar says it'll not only pass, but pass by more than a few votes.

Dems wouldn't have behaved as they did today, if they hadn't the votes.

12. The Dems said they wouldn't bring it to the floor unless they have the votes. |
|
They have pushed for this Sunday vote for the last 2 days. That says they have 216.
Think about it. If they didn't have 216, wouldn't they be trying to push the vote to Monday or Tuesday? In that the vote is taking place Sunday evening, moving it to Monday would be easy enough to do.
This tells me, (along with a lot of other evidence) that they have the votes for HCR.

Obama is not a wimp, like so many democrats here say.
He has fought for this with everything he has.
and if this fails.
those purists who wanted a Canadian or European Health CAre system right out of the gate, fresh and served in the time it takes a sit com to solve all of lifes problems (yes, everythig is solved in an hour and yes we are so used to that and marinated in it we forget that the Canadian or European Health Care system sure the fuck dicn't come to what it is in one fucking year)
if this fails
you will NEVER get an opening like this ever again, let alone the univeral perfect all package some wish for like a child on Santa's knee.
if this fails
you have LOST it ALL for years and years. and have to start all over again. IF, if, IF, you ever get a President like this again that wants it so bad he would give up his second term for it.

He said, but those who whined will have deserved it (he's talking about the teabaggers, cause he doesn't know that there are whiners everywhere). I'm talking about whiners period....especially those on are side who are still trashing this bill at the 11th hour.
