3. To them, they were part of the Vice-President's power
but only if the VP had dodged the draft, selected himself, and promised to shoot a man in the face during his term. Then he could get his catspaw to sign whatever was put in front of him.

10. Senselessbrenner's whole thing was one mess of confusion and contradiction
On the one hand, he argues stridently for the meaninglessness and insignificance of this Executive Order by Pres. Obama.

On the other hand, he finds it contradictory that Obama opposed using executive orders to effect meaningful, substantial policy, executive orders that have an impact like - one that authorizes tribunals (read: an area where there was at least question as to the clarity of the question - is there an actual law opposing it).

Those two arguments simply cannot hold together, and yet he made them both in the span of a two-minute speech.

:freak:

18. You have to think (hope?) that the American people are smart enough
to realize the willful, feigned naivete that went into that doozy is less plausible than Rick's surprise over all that gambling.

It's like he explained exactly what Obama was doing, and yet still thought that left him with ground to find his actions contradictory. You simply can't have both!

11. HA! so...
all those executive orders of Bush's are invalid, right?

Cool. Let's get rid of all of them now.

And that means any agreement with Stupak is invalid, too.

Doesn't sound so bad.

20. Wha? That Republican be lying
Man, he really tried to make it seem as though the CBO had blessed the thing he said that just followed his reference to the CBO - such crookedness. But unless I'm mistaken, it seemed that any reference he made to the CBO was based on lies.

And how the frack can these people claim "the people have spoken"???

Walk me through this one slowly.

Defeating Martha Coakley = "The People Have Spoken"???
