Sure history repeats itself but events have to be taken in the context that existed at the time. What may be true in the past does not necessarily convert to current times. There may be similarities but those similarities must compared appropriately. Also, too many insist that their memory of history is the history that occurred especially when they were either not alive at the time or they weren't even present at the event.
