2. Good question
It might not be a good idea to do it until after the recon fixes have safely passed. We don't want to take our eye off the ball.

But at the ceremony, I expect to see Bill and HIllary Clinton in the front row.

4. Kennedy
Vicki should get the first pen. She has carried the torch with grace ever since Ted's passing.

7. When is the signing and when does the HCR comes into effect? I am
so happy for you all, in as much as some says this is a sell out, the government has to start somewhere and then improve HCR.

I really want you all to have what Canada has in terms of universal health care.

Why are some saying that pre-existing conditions will still prevail? I really do not understand that.

Thanks

9. Frenchie, thanks and kudos to President Obama and his team. Nancy
Pelosi will go down in history as a powerful woman, she worked hard to get this bill passed along with your President and other Dems.

Sad to see that some Dems did not support the bill. No matter what, President Obama is working tirelessly for the American people!

10. I want a ceremony
I want jesters juggling and passing torches, plate-spinners, unicyclists, stilt-walkers, and whatever else can fit on the stage with calliope music playing. After a suitable time, Barack will be lowered from the rafters, seated in a slowly revolving hoop, waving to everyone gathered. He will of course be dressed in the brightest gold lame outfit one can find. He will cartwheel over to the desk, pick up the biggest freakin' feather pen ever seen, dip it in ink, and sign the bill into law. He will then stand and strike a majestic victorious pose by bringing his arms up so they're straight out from his body while looking up at the ceiling. Reid and Pelosi will then come from both sides of the stage, lift him by the arms over their heads and carry him to a large box, which he will get into, close the door, and then disappear from.

12. I'm not saying he is
But we've got the republicans truly staggered for the first time in a long time. Now is the time to go crazy in celebrating and shove our victory down their throat and/or confuse the hell out of them. :)

15. Definitely, and I hope it's at high noon on Monday (well, maybe Tuesday)...
Attendees should, and doubtless will, include Vickie Kennedy. I'm sure it will be a crowded room.

While watching President Obama's statements tonight acknowledging the passage of the Bill, the thing that brought tears to my eyes was the thought of how unbelievably proud his Mom and Tutu would have been to see him there.
