He confronted them yesterday.

Of course they were up to their usual behavior. Screamed at him that he should father another child out of wedlock. Called him a Commie...asked if he was there when MLK was assassinated. They are so classy, aren't they?

So Contessa asked him about it... All Jesse Jackson had to say how sorry he felt for them, for their anger, for believing the lies and not realizing that HCR will help them too.

:toast: I think Jesse has the right attitude. PITY the poor souls.

1. I don't take particular stand of superiority because we got the vote yesterday.
There have been groups like the Teabaggers in society throughout history and their fear and ignorance, when unabated, have rendered destruction. I'm just grateful for yesterday's results.

5. Oddly, I do too
Don't hate me for saying this, but when I watched the freeper reaction yesterday as the bill was being passed, I couldn't help but relate a little bit to their desperation. I remember watching the Iraq War Resolution pass and feeling so frustrated that I couldn't stop something I was so passionately against. So I guess on that level, I could sort of relate to how they felt, as wrong as they are about HCR.

Granted, I don't remember hurling racial epithets at the supporters of the bill.

11. I know what you mean, BUT
The key difference between us and them is that their opposition is built on hatred and fear and jingoism. We opposed the war because we were opposed to unnecessary war and death and pain and suffering.

So while, like you, I understand their feelings of powerlessness, I don't sympathize, at least not for the ringleaders, who are fear- and hatred-based life forms and who manipulate their followers by lying without shame. I guess I do feel bad for the quiet, trusting souls who watch Fox News honestly thinking it's news and who simply don't understand that they're being lied to.

7. The teabaggers are truly lost
They're too damn stupid to realize they'll benefit from HCR.

9. Pity the spiritual descendants of Brownshirts and the KKK?
I disagree with Jesse on his stance, but I think I understand and respect why he took it.

12. I have no pity for teabaggers. They represent the ugliness of America: hatred, bigotry,
crude, loudmouthed spitting at people they disagree with.
