MSNBC: Shuster with Armstrong Williams
Does anyone believe for one second that Armstrong Williams voted for Obama as he stated?

1. He may have
Several black conservatives announced they did so out of cultural/racial identification and a belief that Obama, whatever his liberal views, represented an example of black "self-reliance."

4. He did vote for Obama.
I know secondhand as Armstrong told Sam Greenfield (his one-time radio partner on WWRL in New York) and Sam told me.

Armstrong couldn't in good conscience vote for McCain and felt resolute about Obama. He voted for the person, not the party.

As a matter of background, Armstrong's family has been devoted to the republican party almost in homage to the fact that its earlier incantation led to the conclusion of slavery. But it's a devotion that ignores how the party has changed and he's dogmatic about supporting it, right or wrong.
