GOP's Joseph Malone Launches Congressional Run

PLYMOUTH, Mass. --
Former state Treasurer Joseph Malone officially announced his run for Congress on Sunday.

The Republican is looking to fill the 10th Congressional District seat currently held by U.S. Rep. Bill Delahunt, who announced that he will not seek reelection in November.

Delahunt has represented the state for more than 10 years.

At a rally in Plymouth, Malone said he's campaigning to bring change to the state's congressional delegation.

"We need new people in Washington," said Malone. "Leaders who care more about the next generation than the next election, and with your help, I'll be one of those leaders."
