CBS Evening News had to have been produced by Limbaugh tonight |

Totally negative on the landmark health care bill. It was pretty disgusting. Then they go interview some dopes on the street that have no idea that something even passed and ask them their opinion and put it on the air like most Americans feel that way. ABC News, which tries to be FoxNews lite, was even more positive than CBS. NBC Nightly News was very straightforward and really rundown the list of stuff in the bill that is designed to help people.

1. I liked Rachel's coverage on MSNBC |
|
She made it very concise, clear, and easy to understand. Highlighted which provisions go into effect immediately, and then lambasted the Republicans who are fighting to repeal those provisions.

2. They must still be spooked by the anti-Rather campaign of 2004. |
|
That's the only reason they'd still be kissing GOP ass at this late date.

5. And making up for beating up on poor Sarah |
|
CBS' Katie, after all, helped spotlight Palin's inability to think on the spot ... or, you know, at all. Sure, Charlie Gibson smacked her around first, but Katie hit her with that really hard question about magazines. Mean ol' Katie.

10. Couric DID toss Palin softballs...because Palin answered stupidly, Couric gets credited for |
|
being a hardball journalist. She isn't. Certainly not when it comes to protecting the corporate agenda and the fascists who pay for her pricey lifestyle.

3. They use the "man on the street" interviews to get their point made |
|
without having to be so obvious and it makes me sick. They never use people like me spouting my tinfoil hat nuttery.

6. Couric's producer is a diehard republican |
|
I remember when he was hired to help her get better ratings, Media Matters attacked the decision to hire him because of his very partisan and even anti-Obama writings. He hasn't disappointed.
I'm glad you aren't the only one who has noticed how Couric's nightly show is negative towards Dems and the Obama administration.

8. I had no idea about their producer being a wingnut |
|
That would explain a whole lot! Chip Reid must get his marching orders from him, cause he's about has antagonist about Obama as any reporter.

7. What they should be doing is informing people |
|
what exactly is in this bill, how it will affect them and the country. The time for Lies is over. ::smacks forehead:: what was I thinkin? This is still the same crap MSN we've had for years. Nothing is going to change until our News is regulated. I know there are some here who believe in free speech, but there should be standards.
TV can be used to inform and educate, or it can be an idiot box. We've seen what the idiot box produce...

9. You should have seen the BBC tonight... |
|
... they interviewed a few people about the new HCR bill in a restaurant. They all said, including a Joe-the-Plummer type conservative guy, who said that even though he was a Republican, he was surprised at how much he was going to benefit from the bill. (The BBC also said that some people were opposed, but none wanted to be interviewed)
