Moron Joe says that pharma and insurance companies did not oppose the HCR bill |
|
Why I watch this village idiot is mostly because it's noise to get ready for the day.
But watching Moron Joe actually have the audacity to YELL to Lawrence O'Donnell that the insurance industry wanted the bill to pass is evidence that he watches ESPN and not CSPAN on his time away from being an asshole on TV.
No video... perhaps some later, but his obvious ham-headed Repiglified reptilian predictability is indeed fodder for the future when we look back at footage that rivals those who were against civil rights, equal rights and progress.

1. What a clown. Has he never heard of lobbyists? He's |
|
spinning the rethug spin because we know he knows better. Does sound like he's getting flustered, and that's always a good thing.

2. I have to admit, where I live I saw little opposition. |
|
And, let's face it, health insurance company stocks have been on the rise. Why should they oppose it when they're getting a great, big, giant gift of 30 million customers with government subsidies? (And anyone who thinks big insurance won't weasel out of paying for stuff is naive.)

Look, no doubt they see benefits to having people forced on to the rolls ...
But, the "market" like stability and definition ...
They know they can now sit back and look at the parameters and know what they are dealing with ...
And, no universal coverage, no public option ...

6. Did you see the many ominous anti-heath care ads from the chamber of commerce? |
|
They were funded by the health insurers.
As to the stocks, the entire market has been up and uncertainty, which was the case until the bill passed, is always bad for stocks.

5. So, all those ads paid for themselves? |
|
He might be correct on Pharma, but the insurance companies gave huge sums of money to the Chamber of Commerce to pay for all those obnoxious ads.

7. There has been nothing like the opposition mounted in 93-94. |
|
HC stocks are way up.
They don't hate it or fear it.
They are simply figuring out how they are going to "play" it for max profit.
