would cost the Rs a generation of voters. So they set out to kill Clinton's healthcare effort dead dead dead. Since they seldom have new ideas, they're still that same old game today

The voters really want this, so let's get on board and do our best and take some credit, because that would be the smart and right thing to do. 14. I think a lot of the opposition is political grandstanding and theatre

Let's not forget that this bill is very identical to what Romney proposed. I don't think many of them hate it as much as they say they do. The major issue is wanting to see Obama fail. They direly want him to be another Carter, no success. As far the whole "losing a generation of voters," I don't think the current HCR bill is THAT powerful. If they had added the Public Option, then maybe. But it'll be years before the effect of this bill will be understood. It's not like the Civil Rights Act which was immediate.
