The GOP: The Party of Hate.

The GOP: The Party of Hate.

by LaFeminista

Yes, they damn well are.

During the rise of the birthers whose motivation was racist at its core, since they could not accept that an African American could be American let alone President.

What did Republican leaders do?

At best shrug and at worst encourage the lies.

During the initial months of the health care debate, what did they do?

Encourage the cries of socialism and fascism.

Coin the phrase 'Death Panels'

Scream that we want to kill Grandma.

Are these the actions of responsible leaders?

Only if tearing the country apart is your aim.

What have they done since then?

Obstruct, lie and manipulate.

<...>

The President and Democratic Party leaders have held out the olive branch of reconciliation and bipartisanship many times, only to be spat at.

Hell they even invited you on prime time TV to have your say.

Which I might add you thoroughly abused with lies and fearmongering.

When crowds were outside congress calling our representatives:

Baby killers, -iggers and *aggots

What did the Republican leadership do?

Shrug and make pathetic excuses for this behaviour and blame the Democratic Party totalitarian tactics for this wave of hate.

The most obnoxious of them actually encouraged this behaviour.

1. There was a brisk sampling of callers into Washington Journal this morning...
That expressed very hard times ahead for republicans for their, really, quite insatiable untethered disrespect & opposition to not just anything Obama and the Dems put forward; but for America herself her values her process' her otherwise self-righting/balancing properties her Democracy the whole nine,

Callers that found themselves able to support RW/GOP hate & unhinged anti-American neo Nazi-esque violence & disruptions were, in the end, only able to verify the extent of a shared & willful political disintegration of the RW/GOP mind with an enlightened citizenry

May there be disgusting shames upon the GOP handed by way of timely process & serving

3. They are setting themselves up to be intervened upon, not just by Dem voters & supporters...
Defending themselves against criminal malfeasance - but by the FBI and ultimately the DHS in that they have moved beyond, by comparison, the more inactive pastimes of 'point blame fear distort disparage' into the realms of broken windows (a favorite of Hitler's brown shirts in the run-up to Nazi rule that he, likewise, as do the RW/GOP neo-Nazis: never disowned with any force of conviction) disrupted gas lines (very dangerous), and the threatening of deaths & heinous retributions upon persons and their children - that is an assault - it all needs to be snipped in dear earnest to discourage the battery that it is pointing to

this saves lives on both sides and less destruction..."

11. I like fortune cookies pretty much just like everybody else...
And while I do read the paper, I crack the cookie and use its pieces to stir my tea leaves: "To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." - Sun Tzu
