Republicans speaking about the recent violence.

John Boehner and Eric Cantor are full of it with their sincerity.

Now Cantor is accusing Kaine and another of fanning the flame to incite violence.

3. Cantor said he had a bullet shot into
his campaign office! Has any of this been reported in the news? I think he is lying.

4. I agree. I seriously doubt anyone shot into his campaign office on purpose.
More likely some drunk. Might even had been Cantor.

5. the only evidence I found
online was from Alan Colmes. http://www.alan.com/2010/03/25/congressman-eric-cantors-office-shot-at/
Which means Fox News is reporting it.

7. I got the feeling that Boehner
was almost condoning the violence when he said "people are scared", as if he was saying I understand your frustration. He couldn't put aside politics for one minute and say this kind of violence is outrageous. I didn't think I could have a lower opinion of the man before. Showing empathy for people who commit violence and threaten people's lives is sick.

8. obviously they seem to want to start
a mudslinging match. Funny how Cantor made a statement but would take no questions.. Probably didn't want to have to prove that his office was shot at. I hope Rachel Maddow will get on this and find out if it really happened.

10. Its just a game to them
and all they care about is defeating the opposition. They need to remember that the crazies that they are encouraging will turn on them in a heartbeat. They cannot be appeased and will attack pretty much anyone.

11. here's the report from Richmond:
http://www2.timesdispatch.com/rtd/news/state_regional/article/possible_shot_fired_at_office_building_of_cantor_consultant/332877/

Rep. Eric Cantor says this afternoon that a gunshot was fired through a window of his downtown Richmond campaign office building either last night or two nights ago.

There were no injuries or other details immediately reported. Cantor, in an interview with the Richmond Times-Dispatch, said he doesn’t know whether the shot was random or aimed at the building.

He said he doesn’t know if anyone was in the building when the shot was fired. Richmond police are investigating, he said.

In Washington, Cantor said at a news conference that he has also received threatening e-mail, The Associated Press reported.

Cantor, in Washington, attributed the actions to his being in the House GOP leadership and being Jewish.

The office of Republican Jean Schmidt of Ohio also released a profanity-laced phone message in which the caller accused the GOP of being racist and, referring to an accident two years ago when Schmidt was hit by a car while jogging, said “you should have broke your back, b… .“

(This has been a breaking news update. Check back for further details as they develop.)
