Reading some posts on "Facebook" from people I went to school with yeaaaaaaaaaaars ago make me want to barf--some of them don't even know what's in the new health care law but they are dead set against it. No time for them, no energy to waste on them. "Friends", relatives, many co-workers. Deal with them only as necessity requires, keep it cordial, move on. I can't believe how many of my colleagues, my high school classmates, my cousins, are right-wing nutjobs and religious whackos. I swear, the hospital switched me at birth, because I CANNOT be related to these people. Several of my cousins are "fans" of Andre Bauer (Mr. Don't Feed the Poor Because They'll Breed Like Stray Animals). The family reunion this year could be quite interesting!

7. I don't know if it was Rachel or Lawrence last nite who was talking about how Faux news lied about

HCR and now that it's passed isn't explaining to their viewers what's really in the bill. They are not even talking about it anymore because they lost big time. So all those people think the death panels and rationed care is really whats in the bill. It's amazing, isn't it? They really do a great job of delivering the news.:silly:

9. I sat with a neighbor talking to his Congressman's representative last month...

calling for more bases in foreign countries (we should have a solid world-wide presence) + tax cuts.

There's just no reasoning with that kind of disconnect but, in everything else, he's a really nice guy.

13. My daughter was "chatting" with a friend on face book who asked her to explain in plain

English what was in the new bill, no politics! So she went about telling her, ANOTHER friend of this girl who saw this conversation came on and said "You're kidding right? I live in a 3rd world country (Costa Rica) and we already have most of that!" Out of the mouth of er...um 20 somethings?
