Are-you-cannabis-deficient?
Surprisingly, this is from Fox News:

<snip>
If the idea of having a marijuana deficiency sounds laughable to you, a growing body of science points at exactly such a possibility.
Scientists have known that the active psychoactive compound in marijuana is THC, which is short for tetrahydrocannabinol.

<snip>
The idea of clinical cannabinoid deficiency opens the door to cannabis consumption as an effective medical approach to relief of various types of pain, restoration of appetite in cases in which appetite is compromised, improved visual health in cases of glaucoma, and improved sense of well being among patients suffering from a broad variety of mood disorders. As state and local laws mutate and change in favor of greater tolerance, perhaps cannabis will find it’s proper place in the home medicine chest.

It's long been my belief that our brains wouldn't have cannabis receptors, if we weren't supposed to take advantage of them.

BTW, I am NOT cannabis deficient. Far from it! :hippie:

1. Yes, yes I am
And I have been for decades. Our current anti-marijuana laws are completely insane and founded on fear and nonsense (a not so clever redefinition of "addiction" being one such piece of that nonsense.)

But if we ever go sane, I shall address my cannabis deficiency with a big plate of brownies. :)

2. I was until I started using it as medicine.

Everyone is chemically imbalanced to some extent, there is no reason why natural canabinoid levels wouldn't vary from individual to individual. Balancing one's self (especially via non-toxic substances) should be a personal decision, not the government's.
