I Smell Momentum!!
Edited on Fri Mar-26-10 01:12 PM by Jeff In Milwaukee
Not a bad week for the big guy.

Historic Insurance Reform Legislation - millions can now get insurance coverage

Reformed Student Loan Program - Saved taxpayers $70 billion and increased aid to higher education

Arms Control Agreement with Russia -- First new comprehensive treaty in two decades

New Program to Assist Struggling Homeowners -- Help for 3 - 4 million families.

Have a good weekend, Mr. President. I think you've more than earned it!

3. That's what I plan on not doing; not watching.
I've just turned on the radio....
since I'm working, I don't normally "watch" Teevee
as much as I hear it in the background.
Radio works just as well in this case.

And yes, this President is exactly who I voted for,
and he has more time yet to come to do more.
Glad I'm patient, cause it appears that patience really is a virtue. :)

5. AND - here in the "old" north east, real estate prices are slowly coming back -
the house we paid $50,000 for is now worth over $80,000.

We would never have been able to afford it....

18. A similar house on the next block is selling for that amount -
we were appraised over $60,000 about 10 years ago.

We don't have as high a property value as bigger cities, but we don't crash as far, either - It may be just regional.

12. "President Barack Obama will spend the weekend at the presidential retreat at Camp David, Md. "
<snip>

"With this in mind, this week has a the capacity to be a game-changer.

After signing healthcare reform into law, agreeing to a new nuclear arms reduction treaty and moving forward with financial reform, President Barack Obama will spend the weekend at the presidential retreat at Camp David, Md.

And top White House aides say, "He knows he has" earned it.

"Best week we've had in a long damn time," one senior administration official told The Hill.

"When you pass health care reform after 100 years of trying, complete the most significant nuclear arms treaty in decades, and complete a major overhaul of federal student loan programs, folks in the West Wing can walk with a bit of a spring in their step."

14. Yes, I sort of sense momentum too. Hope some of the idiots in
this country catch on to all the good being done also. And realize what the repugs really are. But, none of the good stuff seems to make the news.
