Where does the Teabaggers' party end?
Edited on Fri Mar-26-10 09:07 PM by ProSense
When does it end?

What will be the dynamic that forces the lunacy out of the mainstream?

edited title.

5. They should be called teabaggers.
They hate that. Maybe it could hasten their demise if we always refer to them as teabaggers.

7. When their politcal candiates
suffer a trainwreck of defeats. Don't know when that will happen. A lot will depend on how strong and effective the liberal and or sane opposition is to them. If we just sit by and let them win then they will be around for quite a while.

GOTV matters.

At which point they will just slump back down and merge quietly with the Klan, the Birchers, the Minutemen, etc.

15. WHen we tie them to the Repubs.
It isn't so much a question of when they end, as how we can use them to sink the goppers even further. They are repubs, repubs are teabaggers.

Everything the teabaggers do and say should be tied directly to the repubs. It is a win for the Dems. The goppers embrace and support them (and their future acts) or the goppers deny them and split the party.

This is a golden opportunity to the Dems.

18. For many their idiocy will only abate when they die.
These pathetic "useful idiots" are incapable of independent reasoning. Their Tea Parties remind me of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party in Alice in Wonderland. I think that Lewis Carroll would be amused to see his fantasy take on life.

Sara Palin reminds me of the White Queen in "Through the Looking Glass" when Alice says:

"One can't believe impossible things."

"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

and drag things into chaos. Are we there yet? The GOP is hoping not.

I should add that they fade also when their issues are addressed. Those in the Tea Party movement who fear the power and influence elites have had on their lives ar being manipulated by the GOP, cynically yet predictably so. The GOP would have them believe it is the Democrats and not the GOP who is responsible for the meltdown of the economy and the enrichment of Wall Street. This health care tantrum...totally fabricated by the right wing spin machine.

Then the corporate RW will cut them loose. They
are political Kryptonite. The uber rich will not
tolerate losing power to a bunch of angry and
unpredicable racists. They will support rich
racists but not lumpen proletarian couch potatoes.
