6. one big problem we have of late
is lack of empathy... we have become a people that can't conceptualize or consider those things beyond our own small bubble.
We are a very big group of people here in the United States and without respect for differences we are toast as a country. I see it primarily with the tea bagger type but all groups exhibit some level of lack of empathy and understanding of various opportunities, experiences, abilities, etc.

Studies show that empathy grows with education and we all know that there has been a significant dumbing down of students over the past decades...

We need to get to work here
