i tend towards a critical view but...
i got no complaints right now
i have watched the tea party movement from its inception ,through its being coopted, to see how the group would be addressed politically
i am extremely pleased that the president said the other day that many of them have credible concerns on issues
because many of them do and the fact that some use them to act like beer hall putschers does not disqualify those legitimate concerns

i am please over the drilling decisions
if nothing else it will act immediately against the artificial inflation in the oil markets and lower fuel costs
it is also a huge issue the GOP has held close to its breast forever
being willing to debate the issue will be a positive tool in NOV
without regard to outcome of the debate i might add

saw the president in afghanistan never a bad idea to get in front of the troops
nice reception too
looked nice in the jacket too
i had one once but someone stole if from my car

and i cut about a quarter of a finger off but its healing well
so im ok with a lot of stuff
no complaints here

2. sorry to hear about the finger.
Our family has a tradition in that every generation has someone that accidentally chops a toe off. Our generation has yet to produce a winner. I know I will be the winner, but I'll be damned if I don't tape that thing right back on.

3. "Looked nice in the jacket"?

They say he sings in the shower too.

Good enough reason for me to support the drilling..if I was 6 years old, maybe.

4. He did look nice in the jacket.
But SwampG8r's stated reasons for being OK with the drilling did not include the jacket -- conflating the two was a device of yours. I don't know of many six year olds who read Tiger Beat, but it's interesting that you apparently do. :)

6. Interesting dodge.
I guess it's OK to do what we all used to oppose if a handsome Democratic president says we should do it.

That's pretty immature anyway you look at it.

9. i didnt oppose it before
just because im a dem doesnt mean i lockstep believe a set list of horseshit
if i did i would spell it dim not dem

i have long held to the use of all domestic oil reserves if the holdings are intended for US markets first
i dont see the difference between cuba having a drilling platform i can see from the keys and the US having a drilling platform i can see from the keys
except that a US platform will be monitored by the EPA and dozens of other agencies that would likely be less powerful or credible in Cuba

we dems come in all types

5. You're too smart and have too much wisdom to believe
that this will have any effect on the speculation that raises prices on a global oil market or have any reduction at the pump...ever.

I also think anyone that pays attention knows full well that Republicans have free reign to move the goalposts or take hypocritical stands without repercussion. It didn't help one iota for Obama to stack the stimulus with tax cuts or to make full use of GOP health care concepts or to accept over 100 of their amendments without a solitary vote.

I'm glad your finger is healing but you are optimistic to believe that "chess" will work against enemies with tanks, bombers, and a propaganda arm. Moving your rook craftily won't save you when you're under 24/7 air strikes with clandestine forces turning your friends against you and inflaming your enemies with lies.
