Ray McKinney making second bid for Barrow's congressional seat
Ray McKinney has become the fifth Republican to seek his party's nomination in the 12th Congressional district.

The Lyons resident ran second in the three-way 2008 GOP primary in the 12th, represented by Savannah Democrat John Barrow.

McKinney calls for creating "thousands of jobs" and "a new American industrial revolution" by expanding use of nuclear energy.

The candidate, who used to live in Rincon, is a nuclear power project manager for a North Carolina-based company.
