Question for those filled with shock and outrage |
|
If a person once said they were going to do "A".... but then later, on multiple occassions, said they were going to do "B"....
It is over-the-top to act shocked and betrayed when the person goes about doing "B"?
"I voted for him because I thought he was in favor of A! The fact that he more often said he was going to do B is totally irrelevant! I'm outraged!"
Just wondering....

2. Two things make perfect sense... |
|
1) Bitching about the policy itself.
2) Back when it was 2008, bitching about his flipflop.
Nothing else makes sense, and is the result of either dishonesty or stupidity.

3. I can't stand it when politicians do A or B |
|
I'm so angry I could just go do a C or take a D

5. Well you'll be setting yourself for disappointment for a long time. |
|
First off, every President has a lot of advisors. He might believe in one thing and stands by it steadfastly---and we might share that view. But once given information we probably don't know about---and in order to get somethings done because he might have his hands tied do to other things----s/he makes compromises. I hate some of them and I can tolerate others. What I'm seeing from your post you hate both. But we're living in a country of democracy---ie things aren't going to go your way no matter who's in power---EVER. And I doubt if even you were in power you'd be able to get anything done because you'd deal with a faction who would run over any of your ideas and if you have people on your team who's not 100%, they'll fuck you over too.

7. Effort?! Unless copy and paste is effort? I've said this a few times to people here. |

4. That's why I'm not supporting those lame posts. I heard him speak on this & I'm not surprised. |
|
I'm just disappointed since I'm 100% against off shore drilling. I will never ever ever support it. Nuclear on the other hand, I've been so-so about.

10. I support nuclear, not really into offshore drilling. |
|
I think not every Dem is 100% against either. I am not really sure there is enough oil offshore to really make a whole lot of difference but maybe now we will find out for sure.

9. I've noticed that people heard what they wanted to hear... |

...and dismissed what they didn't like or agree with.

11. And *I* have noticed that it's the same cast of characters "sad and dismayed"... |
|
.... by the outrage of the moment.
They amuse me.
