10. Okay, I'm going to explain this again, as I have in a previous thread:

There is no actual benefits extension legislation being considered in either the House or the Senate, just a moving of the eligibility dates for the meager jobless provisions of the ARRA so that unemployed persons at various levels get to move to the next tier and continue to collect the extra $25 per week.

Those of us who have been unemployed 2 years or more are out of benefits as of last month, so the proposed legislation already didn't apply to millions of us. We do not get any more money because we have exhausted all claims, even if they do extend the eligibility dates for those who have been unemployed 6 months or less.

I repeat: There is no proposed legislation either in the House or in the Senate to add benefit weeks for those who have exhausted all claims. To my knowledge, and according to aides in Pelosi and Reid's offices, it isn't even being discussed in Congress.

Comparing Kyl and Bunning's UE obstruction late last year with Coburn's this year is erroneous, like comparing apples to oranges.

I know this for a fact as I'm one of those who received my last check last week.

Plenty of sites will confirm it, such as NELP and the many unemployed sites like unemployed-friends.com.

But believe whatever you will.

The president is beyond insensitive to our plight as well.

We're in a pickle, and those of us '99ers' across the country have nowhere to go for relief. We don't know how we'll survive, where we'll get money for food, shelter and other necessities now.

BTW, '99' is the number of weeks received by the long term unemployed like me and at least a million others. Nothing in the works for us at this time.
