A totally dishonest headline.
The page is titled "Crowd Boos President Obama As He Delivers Terrible Pitch During Philadelphia-Nationals Game"

The headline is

Boos For Obama During Phillies-National 1st Pitch
President Makes Terrible Delivery On The Mound

Yet when you read the article, it says,

He received a loud ovation from the packed crowd, with a few boos scattered in.

WTF???? This is an AP story, btw.

1. Squeaky wheels get all the press...
Sadly.

Very dishonest, indeed. We need to take back the press... this is beyond ridiculous.

4. You gotta remember.......
..... half of baseball enthusiasts are republicans, so it's no surprise there were boos. I suspect Bush got a few boos here and there, as well!

6. True
but booing Bush was grounds for arrest. I guess that's the country the right wing likes.

5. The MSM ran with the same thing about his
pitch last year they also criticized the jeans he wore. They just miss that manly man "W" that made those tingles go up Tweets leg.

7. The AP didn't write that headline.
That responsibility went to whoever was writing the headers for the stories on the Web site of that particular CBS affiliate.

Fox Noise had this header on their story: "President Obama Throws First Pitch, Assesses the Damage." Actually, it's kind of a lighthearted funny story, saying he wore khakis this year after having been accused of wearing "mom jeans" last year at the All-Star Game.

Here's a rather funny U.S. News column poking fun at how different sources were likely to assess the pitch after the fact, no matter how it was done:

http://www.usnews.com/blogs/robert-schlesinger/2010/04/05/making-political-sport-of-president-obamas-first-pitch.html

Definitely nailed it.
