Fox News Polls Biden’s “F-Bomb,” Gets Wrong Answer

Fox News, which went bonkers over the “F-bomb” that Joe Biden dropped at the health care signing ceremony, has now done a poll to see if their flood-the-zone coverage of that very consequential moment has had an impact.

The answer is Not So Much, according to the poll’s internals:

As you may have heard, Vice President Joe Biden used foul language to describe how important he thought passage of the new health care bill was when he whispered to President Obama “this is a big expletive deal” — do you think the vice president’s use of foul language to describe the bill was offensive, or
not?

Yes, offensive: 37%

No, not offensive: 57%

Fifty-seven percent of Independents, too, said it wasn’t offensive. What’s wrong with these people’s priorities, anyway?

As for the toplines, the poll finds that Obama’s approval rating is only 43%, versus 48% who disapprove.

Separately, in another example of Fox polling on a matter important to the network and getting the wrong answer, a majority, 51%, say that if Sarah Palin campaigns with a candidate, it will make them less likely to support that person. Only 25% say it will make them more likely. Quick, book wall-to-wall cable for the ‘Cuda’s next speech!

1. Don't think it was offensive
but don't think it was appropriate.

2. I don't think it was offensive
and I do think it was an honest and truthful appraisal of the situation. This definitely was and will continure to be a big f*@king deal.
