What does that nonsense have to do with this picture...or even reality? Are the President and the SoS not allowed to be smile and be friends?

buddies or not.
However, some here have to treat OUR SERVANTS (not the other way around) like adored celebrities.
I only wish you could give it a rest?
They SERVE us - not the other way around.
Treating them like Hanna Montana is not the way to keep one's representatives in check.

20. Yes. There should be no pictures of the President of the United States. Or the Secretary of State. |
|
That's a reasonable thing to expect, I should think.
In fact, they should do their jobs from inside a big cardboard box, so no one can see them.

Really, I don't see that. Yes, there is media attention. Yes, there are photographs. Worship? I don't see that at all.

nothing for the progressive wing of our party.
Also, it's NOT APPROPRIATE for you to follow me around and post my past data.
Please consider other hobbies or else I'm going to feel really creeped out? :scared: :(
So you won't feel COMPELLED to post my past data AGAIN AND AGAIN: I admit that I was WRONG to have so much hope in merely one politician. I'm profoundly disappointed, yes, I was THRILLED when he was elected. Now? Not so much.

42. Thank-you, but I do admit to having made some mistakes. I put too much trust in ... |
|
some of our leaders and have become disillusioned.
If it helps explain, I'm also disappointed with Dennis Kucinich, so, IMO, Barack Obama is in good company. :-)

16. While I'd have no problem with Justice Hillary Clinton... |
|
...Secretary of the department of State is a damn important job, and I think she's doing a fine job with it, better than Rice or Powell or even Albright. It's not like SCOTUS would be a step down for her, but for the United States of America today, it's a waste of material.
The closer she is to daily government, the better. The Supremes rule on a handful of cases a year, and Roberts, as Chief Justice, decides which ones. She'd do great there, yes, but her talents would not be fully used as well as they can be, and are being used, in State.

Since when is calling someone fat "sexist"?
It's not nice, I agree, but does EVERY uncomplimentary thing said about a female have to fall under that category? It seems to take the impact out of comments and attitudes that ARE truly sexist.

male politicians to the same weight standards. Male politicians usually get slammed for bad policy, not for being fat.
On edit: Just to add a bit- look at the way Sarah Palin is revered by the right. If she were male she might just be viewed as the nutcase she is. But no- she is what they consider "hot" so she gets way too much exposure.
