what about Mario Cuomo for SCOTUS? |
|
How about Jerry Brown?
Oh I guess they are older than we want -- picking a younger person guarantees a longer term.
But how about someone of that liberal caliber????

3. Thats a two edged sword though. |
|
We could wind up for example with someone like Lieberman with no way to get rid of them once their in the position on the SCOTUS. Personally I was thinking about Judge Ito from the Simpson and Keating case, he has more than enough experience for the job so the far right would have a hard time attacking him from that angle plus it adds another but different minority to the court which imo is not a bad thing.

2. 78 years old is not acceptable. |
|
I am sorry, but I would resolutely oppose that.

4. If there were a Mario Cuomo cult, I'd join up. But agree with others that |
|
the younger a liberal nominee the better.
Cuomo is a favorite of mine from many moons back. But we would not have him long on the Court owing to his age.
The more Mario Cuomos we could have in the Democratic Party, the better the Democratic Party would be.
