4. It's like the Tenants Association we helped start where I live
Everyone was miserable and whining over not having a voice and how horrible the housing authority meetings were. So we get a tenant association going, get people nominated, write up by-laws and what happens....people miss the drama and slowly lose interest. Then they start complaining about how they system of getting officers elected sucked and that they never get notified about committee meetings and bla bla bla. It's the same everywhere. People are fucking morons.

5. I think it will change. Right now many of the changes and improvements
require effort to see. So those that are skilled in propaganda have little trouble hiding the success. However given more time it will become harder and harder to hide the truth and when that happens....

7. The propaganda is
all encompassing and has taken its toll but I agree..it will change for the better.

Just like the corporatemedia couldn't hide the bush-cheney failure anymore..they won't be able to hide Pres Obama's(along with a whole lot of his friends) success.

Talking to a friend on the street today and she said her son, who's a repub(former military), sent her an email going around.. that said they were blaming everything on bush and it was Obama's fault.

She picked all the points apart one by one and let him know they weren't true. But, it's everywhere..the lies and hate that got us into the bushcheney crisis are exponentially worse now and won't stop until they self implode.

One encourgaing thing..she said her son was okay with palin until she quit the Governorship and now is finished with her.

21. It's a shame that you believe that. Most Americans are no different than any other human beings.
They are attempting to survive and care for their families. Labeling your fellow humans as "stupid" is not the way to promote enlightenment and/or positive change.

I side with hope and respect for those within my community. Yeah, even some of the tea baggers have positive qualities and can be "reached out to" in a quiet moment.

14. Something strange is going on with Gallup. They have had Obama's approval lower than RASMUSSEN'S
poll for at least two days. I bet they're polling more Repubs. than they should to get the results, just like they did with their "pro-life vs. pro-choice" poll which found "for the first time in the history of polling, more people consider themselves "pro-life." They over-sampled Repubs.

15. I can't understand it either.
Just look at all he has accomplished:

*WARS fully funded and EXPANDING. Bill sent to our children…...Mission Accomplished !

*Trillion Dollars given to friends and campaign contributors on Wall Street. No Strings Attached...Mission Accomplished!

*Military Spending INCREASED....Mission Accomplished!

*Trillion+ Dollars given to the Health Insurance Industry. Easily Avoidable, symbolic only strings attached....Mission almost Accomplished!

*Force all Americans to buy invisible products from For Profit Corporations who manufacture nothing and create no (Value Added) wealth with NO Public Option providing competition...."A Uniquely American Solution".....Mission Accomplished!

*Kill the possibility for a REAL "Public Option" or REAL Universal Health Care for at least another generation, and begin the “Entitlement Reform” defunding of Medicare (-$500 Billion)....Mission Accomplished!

*Block ANY REAL re-regulation of BIG BANKS and Credit Cards....Mission Accomplished!

*Protect the Bush War Criminals and Torturers from JUSTICE....Mission Accomplished.

*Throw the GBLTs under the bus and expand "faith based" initiatives....Mission Accomplished!

*Reinforce the worst Police State provisions of the Patriot Act and strengthen the Unitary Executive....Mission Accomplished!

*Protect the very richest. Tell the Working Class that they CAN WILL compete with 3rd World Slave Labor for their jobs.....Mission Accomplished!

*EFCA (Employee Free Choice Act) killed in the crib....Mission Accomplished!

*More Anti-LABOR "Free Trade"....Mission almost Accomplished!

*Jobless Recovery....Mission Accomplished

*The Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party SHUT OUT of the Obama Administration…...Mission Accomplished!

*Accelerate the destruction of Public Education...Mission Accomplished!

*Bury next generation under such a debt burden that they will never be able to afford any social or economic programs that will benefit their Working Class....Mission Accomplished.

And ALL this in less than a year!!!
I can't understand why so many people are unhappy with this progress.

combined with continued general uncertainty.
Every day attacks from the right are communicated through the MSM. The attacks make people think where there's smoke, there must be fire. Lying works well in the USA. "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people." PT Barnum

24. not quite. When he tries to appease the right, he alienates his base and impresses no one
I admire the undiluted actions he's taken like on college financial aid and this nuclear arms treaty.

But he compromised when he didn't have to when Democrats had a supermajority in the Senate. That's why even if Democrats say he is doing a good to excellent job, there will be a long pause before the words come out of their mouths.

34. Is this some Kubler-Ross thing?
A week ago the polls were all rigged. (And the loyalty of people who ever even mentioned unfavorable polling results was questioned by certain posters.)

Now that denial fades and is replaced with the observation that the people are stupid.

Guess what? The people have been stupid a long time. The President's job is to govern a nation that we all knew to be stupid well in advance.

Noting that the people are stupid is like a dog trainer complaining that it turns out that the dogs cannot read the obedience training manual.... like explaining a drowning by noting that water is wet.

We knew the water was wet before we jumped in the pool. The idea is that one is supposed to be able to swim.

If the people don't like the president the fault lies entirely with the president because his JOB is to govern STUPID PEOPLE.

36. It's like this....
Better job numbers are meaningless until I get a job. And it's going to take several months of "better" job numbers to get the unemployment rates down significantly. If we're still at 9.7% on November 2, then it's going to be a bloodbath. If we're down to less than 8.5%, there's no worries about losing control of the House or Senate. But even a reduction of 1.2% is going to take a LOT of new jobs -- Like a million or more.
