Iran accuses U.S. of nuclear threats, will make complaint to the United Nations
By Bridget Johnson - 04/11/10 01:45 PM ET

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Sunday accused President Barack Obama of making nuclear threats against the Islamic Republic.

The ayatollah was responding to Obama's nuclear posture review, in which the U.S. would not strike non-nuclear states and those in compliance with nonproliferation treaties, leaving the door open for attacks in "extreme circumstances" against "outliers" such as Iran and North Korea.

"This statement is very strange and the world should not neglect it because the head of a state poses the threat of an atomic attack in the 21st century which is the century of claims about support for human rights and campaign against terrorism," Khamenei said in addressing a number of senior military commanders from the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, according to the semi-official Fars News Agency.

"Americans have in recent years made much effort to portray the Islamic Republic of Iran as an unreliable state with regard to the nuclear issue, but it has now become evident that those governments which possess nuclear weapons and shamelessly threaten others with atomic bombs are unreliable," the ayatollah said, calling the Obama administration "an unreliable and sinister government."

1. Interesting it appears that the U.S plan of squeezing Iran is
working! Iran didn't seem to feel so threatend before. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that Iran is talking about selling nukes and stuff to the Taliban?

2. Oh come on? They're surrounded by us with occupations in two countries and Israel
has been chomping at the bit to bomb them ... like YESTERDAY.

It's insane that we even consider bombing them.

Talk about ushering in WW III?

THAT (Bombing Iran) would do the trick.

5. I did not say the U.S is going to bomb Iran
I am talking about the pressure that is being put on them. All Iran has to do is let inspectors in to see what they are doing. If they building power plants then everything is good.

I don't believe in nuclear war because once the first bomb is dropped it's over......

6. Can't you hear it? It's the drum roll for the M$M to manufacture consent for a first strike
on Iran. Most likely Israel will bomb suspected sites and thus, usher in the beginning of WW III. This would be EXCELLENT for our multi-national businesses but not so much for our troops and innocent civilians.

We have to get on top of this and not BUY INTO only USA Media Sources for our information.

7. Trust me I don't buy into the MSM bullshit
Israel is not going to bomb Iran because all other Muslim states would turn and attack Israel. And guess who would be on the hook to go and protect Israel? No they would fools to go down that path...

3. Hmm very touchy. The US has gone out of the way to reach agreement with
Iran and get insane responses in return. How is that being reliable.

4. How do we know that we've gotten "insane responses" from them? We're not diplomats?
All we know is what the government tells us?

After the run up to the Iraq War, I do NOT trust my government.

Yes, they LIE: Even when we have one of ours (a democrat) in the White House.
