I opposed the Afghan war cause I knew we were making a multi-decade commitment
to rebuild a fourth/third world country into something that we could point to as a success.

Since Obama cant cut and run (thereby admitting defeat), the USA ain't ready to admit defeat, we need to get our war on.
War is hell.
And near impossible to stop once started.
It will end someday. We will be defeated. Afghanistan will be in chaos. The world goes on.

The important lesson is that war is hell and you better utilize all of the worldly solutions before ya bring hell to earth.

1. war is hell
Waging a relentless pointless war to retain national PRIDE is beyond hell. It is out right evil on earth.

3. The US was ready to admit that it does not give a shit about Afghanistan and to take "defeat" there
But Obama was not ready to let Republicans accuse him of being soft on Islam.

So, just tell yourselves all the dead folks had it coming, and the kids whose lives are about to end probably wouldn't have had great lives anyway.

4. No, we had "won" that war and went into Iraq,,
according to the neo-cons..

The USA will never admit defeat.. Never!
However, being willing to admit that we don't give a shit about Afghans is something the USA can do.
