ATTENTION - Obama ALWAYS promised to send 2 Additional Brigades to Afghanistan
Edited on Tue Dec-01-09 08:34 AM by xultar
So quit your bitchin about Clinton and others being major players in making the decision.

Obama is a big boy. He can handle his shit. He's not going to let the evil Clinton woman change his fucking mind.

Too many people while supporting Obama backhandedly insult him by blaming all his bad decisions on Clinton. Give it up. Obama made this decision way back in the fucking day. Clinton had nothing to do with turning him from a progressive into a warmonger.

So just forget evil Clinton made him do it shit where this one is concerned.

Oh and of course I had to put the XULTAR style on the whole thing. No one says shit like I say shit. ;P
You know you love it.

11. Not really because Obama was filling requests that Bush/Cheney dumped on him.
That is way different.

18. ATTENTION: Brigade - 3,000 to 5,000 solders.
Brigade - 3,000 to 5,000 solders. A brigade headquarters commands the tactical operation of two to five organic or attached combat battalions. Normally commanded by a colonel with a command sergeant major as senior NCO, brigades are employed on independent or semi-independent operations. Armored cavalry, ranger and special forces units this size are categorized as regiments or groups.

http://usmilitary.about.com/od/army/l/blchancommand.htm

So that's 6,000 - 10,000 troops. And BEFORE announcements that "Al Quaeda" was virtually gone from the country. And BEFORE he was in a position to make a smart decision forward.

Bullshit.

3. If I thought Clinton was the problem I'd say so, but she is not.
I think that Barack Obama is putting promises to the people of Afghanistan ahead of his people here at home. He needs to remember who elected him. I don't mind going after Al Qaeda, but I'm NOT supporting a fools errand of keeping a people from supporting a religion.

Hell we can't keep right wing wackos from their weirdness either.

4. I don't know why DUers are surprised about this move, Obama
Edited on Tue Dec-01-09 09:06 AM by Sebass1271
always said during the campaing Afghanistan was a war of necessity> i am starting to think a lot of duers were not paying attention and were cought up in the obama hype. Not that is wrong, i support P. Obama and always did from the begining. But I knew he would do something like this cause he always SAID IT DURING THE CAMPAIGN. He asked for more troops to be deployed to afghanistan way back in 2004!!- before he ran for president!!!

So, i don't understand the hoooola!!

6. Not to mention the fact he also said it last March ....

13. No shit, I recall the same thing too. That he'd get us out of Iraq and transfer those troops...
... to 'Stan to get the job done right, then bring everybody home.

But you know, haters gotta hate after all.

He is now doing it 3 and a half times more.

9. Wasn't he completing requests left over because Bush and Cheney Dithered?
I remember a news item that Obama's first moves to fill troop requests was because Bush left them on his desk. So basically he was doing what Bush didn't have the balls to do.
It was a catch 22 so he kind of had to do it because BushCo set him up.

17. Modern brigades are about 4000 personel.
He has ALREADY sent over 17,000, and this does NOT include the additional Mercenaries.

19. Fact: She advised him to escalate.
LINK

According to your criteria, that makes her a warmonger too. But we already knew that.

It's funny that you are trying to exempt her from that charge by floating the false claim that people say she's twisting his arm. Precious in fact. She is no more in charge of policy and decision making than my dog is. But we aleady knew that too.

Your deference for Mrs. Clinton is duly noted.

And, no, I wasn't trying to blame anything on Hillary.

I am behind this admin..and that includes everyone that the President has appointed.

They are doing the very best they can to get us out of the bushcheney hellhole..and it's better than anyone else could do.
