POTUS to GOP: The American People Can't Afford Your BS
(that's a paraphrase of course)

“I am deeply disappointed that Senate Republicans voted in a block against allowing a public debate on Wall Street reform to begin. Some of these Senators may believe that this obstruction is a good political strategy, and others may see delay as an opportunity to take this debate behind closed doors, where financial industry lobbyists can water down reform or kill it altogether. But the American people can’t afford that. A lack of consumer protections and a lack of accountability on Wall Street nearly brought our economy to its knees, and helped cause the pain that has left millions of Americans without jobs and without homes. The reform that both parties have been working on for a year would prevent a crisis like this from happening again, and I urge the Senate to get back to work and put the interests of the country ahead of party.”

And of course when he said, "I am deeply disappointed" what he meant was, "thank you for playing into my hands you ignorant fools, tomorrow I'm going to main street to tell the voters what you've done."

1. I knew it was a paraphrase because you didn't put it in quotes, and I'm not illiterate.
Of course, I can appreciate why you felt it necessary to say it explicitly.

2. lol, sometimes he's just not MEAN enough....
.... I think he suffers from an overall lack of exposure to professional wrestling. Probably didn't watch it enough as a kid.

I also doubt he's ever seen an episode of the Jerry Springer show. He's not as cultured as you might think. ;)

lol ... so yeah .... while that statement was pretty raunchy by Obama standards, I had to ramp it up a bit for DU.

3. Back when I was in academia, all of those stodgy, gentile profs cussed like sailors....
I would be surprised if Obama was any different.

When I would tell undergrads juicy stories of parties with the professorial big cheeses, they were always wide-eyed "ZOMG! no WAAAY!".

4. Oh definately.....
.... and for anyone who's never had the rare pleasure of Barack Obama swearing like a sailor, I'd direct them here....

http://www.aprilwinchell.com/2009/02/05/barack-obama-is-tired-of-your-motherfucking-shit/">"Barack Obama is tired of your sh*t"

But re-reading that statement, I'm reminded of this theory that I have about him. One that he rarely if ever shows anger or gets upset. But when he's mad or displeased with someone, he just kind of shakes his head and walks away ... "so dissapointed."

It's a fate worse than death no doubt. lol

5. If You Recall, Katie Couric Asked Rahm if the President Cussed
during her interview with him last month and he declined to answer. I took that to mean, not often, but when it happens make sure you're not the person it's directed toward...

6. But he ALMOST said that he did....
.... caught himself before he said, "yes."

Too funny.

7. So, since the "gentile" profs were stodgy, I take it the Jewish profs were swingers?
Probably you meant "genteel."

I couldn't resist.

10. "Lack of exposure to professional wrestling". LOL
I have had lots of exposure. I went to a few WWE tapings and a PPV and saw HHH and Mick Foley fight in Hell in the Cell in 2000. Those were the days...
Anyway, Obama does not seem like he has seen enough wrestling. I agree.
