Deal or No Deal? Reid says No! Yet Dodd and Shelby are close to a deal-if only Dems sell us out
on an independent Consumer Protection Agency. Screwing people with high credit card interest rate, penalties, and fees--packaging and then shorting bundles of 'liars' loan' mortgages is how they make their billions in profit!

Don't do it. Senator Dodd! Don't sell out the America people to Goldman Sachs and their ilk!

Reid: 'Unsenatorial' For GOP To Demand Deal Before Debate

Sen. Harry Reid told reporters this afternoon that he's not letting up on financial reform. "Everyone should understand we're going to stay on this legislation as long as we can," he said.
He also said that the Republican strategy of demanding a bipartisan deal to be complete before voting to begin debate is "unsenatorial."

Shelby: We're Making Progress On Financial Reform Deal

Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) says he and Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) are meeting today with senior staff. Shelby says they've made considerable progress on "too big to fail" provisions, and that if Democrats would agree to meet him halfway on consumer protection, they'd have a deal.
