It's a lot more refreshing.

1. A lot less lying, too, I would assume
But as a happily TVless person, I know not of what I speak.

4. I think ANY show would be better without Joe and Mika on it, although, I have to be honest
I have never watched their show for more than 3 or 4 minutes at a time - can't stand idiots in the morning.
Or at night, either...

7. Yes
I thought Savannah and Willie being in charge was a refreshing change. Savannah seemed much more knowledgeable about issues than Mika.

8. The volume is definitely turned down a notch
With Joe and Mike the show comes off as too hyper at times.

Being second bananas / supporting players, Willie and Savannah are much more low-key in their delivery when they do have the spotlight. Hell, even Pat is dialed down a bit when Joe and Mika aren't on camera.

14. Joe and Mika are a sideshow in and of themselves. It is past its freshness date, IMO.
Their banter where she alternatelly smacks him or looks adoringly at him and nods with a faint smile is now an embarrassment. It cannot hold one's interest for very long so you just zone out or change the channel. Today's show demonstrates how much more zing can be realized with this format and the high quality of the guests.

9. Moron Joe's banter and Mika's vodka-enhanced smirk are amusing for a minute or two
I watched today's The Kids version and yes, it was a bit more "accurate" and even somewhat interesting. Mrs. Greenspan reporting on Wall Street is always funny from a twisted perspective and the Kids cut off Uncle Pat or start talking about Twitter so he realizes he's a dinosaur.

12. Sad reason they weren't on - 'Morning Joe' EP Suffers Apparent Aneurysm
Chris Licht, the Executive Producer of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" is in a Washington hospital this morning after suffering an apparent aneurysm.

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were off the show this morning dealing with the situation. Willie Geist told viewers that Licht, who often appears on the show from the control room, was admitted to a D.C. hospital yesterday after experiencing extreme head pain. "A subsequent CT scan led doctors to believe that Chris had suffered an aneurysm," Geist said.

At last check Licht is in stable condition. "He suffered no neurological effects from the incident," Geist said, adding: "We expect him to make a full recovery. Please keep the Chris in your prayers."

Chris's wife, Jenny Blanco Licht, who also works in TV News, is with Chris in Washington. The couple celebrated their wedding anniversary last Thursday and have a 20-month-old son, Andrew.

The "Morning Joe" production team is in Washington ahead of this weekend's WHCA dinner. MSNBC is planning a special Sunday morning edition of the show.
