C-Span doing something different?

I don't recall an announcer telling us who the guests are appearing on camera. I like it, and I like the announcer, but I can't think of his name. He's a favorite of mine.

He sure knows who everybody is..

C-SPAN hires Charlie Daniels to FIDDLE in the background as the announcer from "The Price is Right" pompously announces these clowns. :evilgrin:

It's hard to associate their names/faces/voices since they only give show the names on screen at the start of Washington Journal each day and no reminders. Since that's 4am for me, I don't usually catch it. Interesting how they don't want their on-air folks to become celebrities.

6. Re C-span

Yes, I think it's a wonderful and unique idea of not making celebrities out of their on-air announcers. It's all about the substance instead. However, I've watched C-span so long that I pretty much know their names and faces, even their voices. That was Peter Slen tonight and he's one of the better ones. He seems to be up on everything and everybody. He recognizes all politicians, book authors, and knows the issues on Washington Journal.

I'm not so fond of Steven Scully, I think Susan Swain is wonderful and I think she's the vp of C-span. However, nobody will ever be better than Brian Lamb!
