Oh Joy: An Oil Slick More Than 50,000 Square Miles
As of Friday, eight days after the oil slick started growing, its size was estimated at 4,000 square miles. At that rate, if Salazar's correct that it will take 90 more days to cap the thing off, it'll be at almost 62,000 square miles.

Bigger that NY State!

And I know that it either won't get cleaned up or the US Middle Class will pay for the vast bulk of the cleanup. I sure as shit know that neither BP, Halliburton, nor wealthy Americans will pay much.

Hopefully we'll at least get some good publicity on this so people realize how colossal fuck ups can be, and we can end "drill baby drill".
