|
That woman is wonderful for the youth of this nation. And a particularly good role model for the female part of that population.

31. When my daughter and her best (girl) friend were in jr high they went to |
|
science olympiad every year and always placed in the top three. After about 3 years of this they made them split up, "because it wasn't fair to the others". They just stopped competing then. How was that not fair to the others to have to intelligent girls beating the others (aka boys)on the teams. They made it to state every year. Way to go school admins.

will, hopefully, be one day. One time when she can really focus is when I am watching the Science channel- she absolutely loves it. How many 8 year olds get into plate tectonics?

I'll be interested to see what the next round's competitors look like.

|
Edited on Mon May-03-10 10:13 AM by Clio the Leo
.... Geek team "A" is from North Carolina, Team B is from California. By almost 50 points.
The middle schoolers are up next ... hopefully I'll be able to actually understand them ... lol but probably not.

You're actually starting to see in the Navy sub skippers who are Asian or South Asian, which is cool.
