He showed clips of Boner and other gopers saying that the Obama Administration's policy against terror is just luck.
And then he went to commercial.... and never brought it up again. No discussion if they are right in saying that, or wrong. He just gave them free airtime to get their message out there.

Sometimes I like Ratigan, but he pisses me off more so it's not really worth watching his show to be about 85 percent pissed off.

2. I've read this before. If this guy pisses off people, why do they watch him? |

I've read his name here, but other than that I don't have a clue as to who he is and I'm not really interested in what he says.

relative to MSNBC.
If you don't like it - turn it off. Switch to some other channel.
Why complain about his show????????? He is completely free to do as he wishes. And we should support that - right????

12. It's not as much of a complaint as it is to let people know what is being said in the msm. |
|
Really no different that when I post on threads praising Rachel.
When Phil Griffin recently said that his goal for msnbc was to be like Fox...I was hoping he meant that msnbc would be as supportive of Dems as Fox is supportive of repugs.

6. He was a CNBC pro-Bush corporate cheerleader; recently, he told a GOP guest that he's a conservative |
|
Edited on Fri May-07-10 04:24 PM by ClarkUSA
During BushCo, he never has a critical word against BushCo. No, he's conveniently morphed into a 24/7 Obama critic and latter day neo-populist. Notice he never ever calls the Republicans on their shit but has plenty of them on his show so he can use their talking points to more easily rag on Democrats.
I always turn the channel when I see his phony "concern" face. As if he ever gave a damn about the little guy when he was cheering on BushCo's economy when he was on CNBC.

Ratface was a regular guest on Moron Joe as a CNBC cheerleader for BushCo's economy until everything tanked. Then he made excuses for BushCo until President Obama was inaugurated, after which he turned himself into the Caped Crusader for Economic Justice (aka. GOP talking point dispenser). His bombastic style won him his own show.

When he slams Republicans he is usually slamming Dems as the same time with statements like, "both parties are to blames" or "both parties are just as bad". This is just a trick used by conservatives when they know the GOP is at fault. By spreading the blame, they mitigate the true responsibility of the Republican party and divert anger to the Dems.

Just because, like Ron Paul, he sometimes says things that liberals like to hear doesn't change the fact the guy is a conservative.

I don't know anything about his past, and it may well be true that he was once a regular Bush defender on CNBC or whatever. I'd never heard of him or seen him, though, until last year, and when I've seen him on TV or watched clips of him I've agreed with what he's said most of the time. Sure, he *does* sometimes do the "but the Democrats are just as bad" schtick, but that's pretty much par for the course with most mainstream media types. I've seen him call out Repugs more than I've seen him call out Dems, and when I've heard him go after Obama it's just about always been from the left- and I've tended to agree with his reason from complaining. He's no Rachel or KO, but he appeals to me more than the vast majority of the cable news screaming heads.

somehow I managed to miss him doing what a lot of people are saying he did the last few years - not saying it didn't happen, I just don't have the point of reference ...
And, you are spot on, part of the MSM marching orders is to push the "they are all the same mantra" to provide cover for republican fups, and he does his share of that ...
But, not everyone can be a maddow, olbermann or shuster - someone who just out and calls the Rs for the luantics they are and don't feed into the bash democrat meme of the day ...
For someone who is not a shuster type, he is OK for me ... The bar for MSM types is pretty right leaning, I see him pretty short of where most of them are ...
