Hylton taking run at Congress, Graves (MO)
The 2008 Excelsior Springs Citizen of the Year, Clint Hylton, will try to do what Kay Barnes couldn't do two years ago, and that is knock off Republican Congressman Sam Graves.

Hylton, who twice served as president of the Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce, said today he would take a shot at Graves, who defeated the former Kansas City mayor in 2008 by 59-37 percent.

From Hylton's media statement:

“After discussing the possibility with my son and after much encouragement by many within our community, I decided to run so that working-class Missourians finally have a voice in Washington.

"As a middle-class American, I understand the need to fight for creating and maintaining jobs in our district."
