Obama's highest Gallup spread in months (+9)... 51% approve, 42% disapprove

jobs, jobs, jobs. We keep having numbers like April's jobs number, and November doesn't look so scary anymore.

1. All the trash talking is counter productive, imho...
The numbers keep speaking volumes, and the financial talking heads are actually saying positive things with regard to recovery progress. Also, I think most people are sick of mud slinging and are going out of their way to stay positive.

3. 51% is extremely good, considering the Goldilocks effect.
Since many disapprove because he's too liberal and many disapprove because he's too conservative, it's pretty remarkable that he can achieve such a high approval percentage.

Of course a really good President would have a much lower approval rating than that, but at least this proves he's a skilled politician.
