Gallup today 52% / 41%. Think any media will comment on Pres. Obama's falling poll numbers? |

"I want to just take a moment to thank the Teabaggers. Thank you so much for helping us pass health care, for resurrecting the Obama presidency. I know they're saying, 'Why are you thanking me? I was so against it, I marched on Washington with tea bags hanging off my Founding Fathers costume, with a gun on my hip and a picture of Obama dressed as Hitler, screaming about his birth certificate.' And America saw that and said, 'I think I'll go with the calm black man.'" –Bill Maher

He's virtually at the number who rejected old sore loser Mccain and voted him In as president.
Of course the MSM will ignore this.

3. The Historian, John Meacham, said it this morning on Morning Joe! Somehow he knew at 8am or |
|
Edited on Fri May-14-10 12:12 PM by jenmito
earlier that Obama's approval was at 52% in today's Gallup Tracking Poll, and when he SAID so, Joe Scarborough, who was discussing Obama's "personal likeability" being at 69%, commented that Obama is "like Reagan" but that his coattails aren't long enough for HIS favorability to help any Dem. incumbents. When I heard Meacham say Obama's at 52% today, I thought he must've been mistaken-but sure enough-there it is! :bounce:

|
Edited on Fri May-14-10 01:06 PM by Clio the Leo
.... 69 is a bit low ... they used to be in the 70s .... even back last summer.
That's how you end up with giant Obama billboards in Times Square and grown women hitting on him in restaurants. Or hearing hip hop lyrics like "I used to run my whole block like Obama and them..." etc. etc. ... If and when THAT stops happening is when I will start to worry. But you have to think that if it hasn't happened by now it wont ever. He's already done the most controversial thing he'll do (the BFD) during what will likely be the worst economic time of his Presidency.
We've got nowhere to go but up.

I tweet the good poll #s whenever they happen! I tweet to anchors at MSNBC and CNN and ask why they don't discuss them.

everyone's saying that Obama's like Reagan at this stage, but that's false. Reagan's approval ratings were much lower than Obama's were at this point in his presidency.

Reagan hit 39 percent In early 1982 while the lowest creable poll has ever had Obama at 44(Q) 45(Gallup) and the fact he got health care reform through despite 24/7 lies from the right wing and his base disappointed about no Public Oporion. And while some will claim California,New York, and Illinois are giving him the high approval even RAS has him at 50 percent In PA,and NH.And RAS own numbers has him at 48 percent approval In Ohio with the economy having hit hard there.
Back In 1994 Bill Clinton had approval of 35-40 percent.
The lesson you should take from all this despite 24/7 attacks from the right wing, and the racists(which Is what I call many of the tea baggers) and attacks on rather he Is actully an american he Is actully In better shape than Reagan and CLinton Were at this time..Come the fall Seniors will get money to help them pay for medicane which will help do an end to the death pannel talk.
