has Obama ordered a 'safety review of all oil rigs immediately'?

and if safety regs are shown not to be correct the rig must shut down until safety is restored?

if not, why not?

and if so, how are the reviews progressing and where are the reports being sunshined?

16. M$M, where most get information
is in sleep mode. Monday isn't much better. So none of us really KNOW what is transpiring today.

6. Are YOU WORKING TODAY?
Are YOU preparing for or flying to a meeting TODAY? I tire of the "BOY, you better do THIS NOW" tone in the absence of any knowledge or recognition of what HAS BEEN DONE and what is currently happening.

13. Hindsight being 20/20
Don't know if you've ever come across the expression, "chain of command." Ultimately, as president he gets to carry the weight. He's ordered a team of scientists and must navigate all the legal issues with BP. Americans have supported him on NOTHING and indeed take to the streets over taxation when they've all received TAX CUTS. I don't know who the man really is, but I get the sense he's doing the best he can under very complicated circumstances.

Obama already had announced a 30-day review of safety procedures on oil rigs and at wells before any additional oil leases could be granted. And earlier in the week Salazar announced plans to split the much-criticized Minerals Management Service into two agencies, one that would be charged with inspecting oil rigs, investigating oil companies and enforcing safety regulations, while the other would oversee leases for drilling and collection of billions of dollars in royalties. Salazar has said the plan will ensure there is no conflict, "real or perceived," regarding the agency's functions.
