Lincoln: 'Win or lose, I’m a Dem'
Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) is entering her challenging primary election on Tuesday vowing to win or lose as a Democrat.

Facing a challenging primary against Arkansas Lt. Gov Bill Halter, Lincoln is hoping to avoid the fate of Utah Sen. Robert Bennett (R) and Rep. Alan Mollohan (D-W.Va.), both of whom were recently ousted by challenges from within their respective parties.

While Bennett is considering a write-in candidacy, Lincoln told The Hill she has no plans to to seek re-election as an independent candidate.

“Oh Lord, no. Never. I’m a Democrat. Win or lose, I’ll be a Democrat,” she said during an interview in her Senate office.

1. She's have better luck convincing me she was a CAT, rather than a
Democrat. She represents a state where her constituents are standing in line at a free clinic and still guts health care reform.

Bye-bye

2. Ah, Blanche, that's a nice assertion but when you come down to it

it's kinda like that old saying "Don't tell me you are a Christian; just act like one and let me figure it out for myself."

You've done precious little that would lead me to figure out that you are a Democrat.

ON EDIT: ...and maybe that is why you are in trouble.

4. If she loses and Halter wins, at least the Arkansans will have a real choice

and not just between a Republican and a DINO.

It might energize Dems and get them out to the polls

5. Some are tempted to do the Lieberman thing but really, it is not easy to pull off.

You need a good coalition of different types of voters to do it. Lincoln can go retire when she loses in the general, I think she beats Halter.
