2. He had an affair with a staffer.
When will these male politicians ever learn to keep it in their pants? Do female politicians ever do this? I suppose they might, they just don't get caught.
The thing is, I really don't think a sex scandal means much as to your ability to do your job. I guess with a Rethug, it is a hypocrisy issue. Or if you paid off the person you had an affair with.

3. research shows that women have affairs as often as men
I would imagine that translates into politicians as well.

4. Didn't Sibel Edmonds alledge that a married female Dem Congresswoman.
Was the target of attempted blackmail by the Turkish intelligence, over a lesbian relationship?

I won't mention the name, because it died pretty quickly.

10. This just came out

He made a video with the same woman praising abstinence. So this goes beyond hypocrisy!

11. Well isn't that special? It is as if the video on abstinence is foreplay the way
she keeps cooing at him as he talks about abstinence, condoms, etc.

Someone must have been holding it over his head.

stings..........

I hope by now the whole "Family Values" Republican meme has died a painful death. Our side isn't perfect either but most Democrats don't make a point of running on being so virtuous. I can't imagine why I would not be surprised to find out what his vote was on the Clinton impeachment? :eyes:

12. Interesting wording ......."mutual relationship with a part-time member of my staff"
I SINNED AGAINST GOD, MY WIFE AND MY FAMILY BY HAVING A MUTUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH A PART-TIME MEMBER OF MY STAFF.IN THE POISONOUS ENVIRONMENT OF WASHINGTON DC, ANY PERSONAL FAILING IS SEIZED UPON, OFTEN TWISTED, FOR POLITICAL GAIN.

"mutual relationship with a part-time member of my staff"

1) Was there boinking or not, then?
2) Thank God it wasn't with a FULL-TIME staffer!

14. Locally here they apparently had heard of Souder and the staffer getting caught
by a DNR agent in the boonies in Whitley County. But they had no report confirming it.

The Capitol Hill reports that his aides in DC went to Boehner about his affair and this triggered his resignation. The local media did not report this happening. Instead they announced that district staff didn't know about it until just recently and DC staff didn't know anything about it.

17. The part that bugs me is that they just say its a sin
forgive me and all is done, they can move on clean as snow.

They are taking the christian rules and using them to get away with anything by saying so sorry I sinned. And knowing that christians are taught to forgive they don't care what they do.

That is messed up to me.

It's not real its fake and phony and stupid religion buys into it.
