Anybody just watch the DebbieDowner fest on Hardball? Listening to Chris Mathews, Andrea Mitchell,
Edited on Tue May-18-10 04:18 PM by jezebel
Chuck Todd and Howard Fineman discuss todays primaries was about as depressing as it gets. Apparently everyone hates Obama, the Democrats and Democratic Policies. And somehow the Blumenthal mess today is about Obama too. And the Tea Parties.
I think we should just not have the elections in November and just give the keys to the Republicans now. According to the Hardball group, it's basically a done deal.

1. Yes [Praise Jebesus) then we can give the key to Sister Sarah! Won't that be a great day?

2. The Obama's should just move out now. Why make Sarah wait? The tea Party has spoken and America will
follow.

3. This is when I'm glad Plouffe is working on it and that Obama doesn't pay attention to the Debbie
Downers who say "it's over", "you can't do it", blah, blah, blah. Just keep working and ignore the people who treat every day's news cycle like it is the be all, end all for everything.

5. That's why I don't watch Tweety. It's like he's schizo or something. And Mitchell? Please!
She has ulterior motives and love to see Dems go down. According to everyone, Republicans will take over government; Obama will not be reelected.

This Blumenthal news isn't just a coincidence. The fact that this information is being revealed on primary election day is NOT just a coicidence.

Just sayin'

7. What do you know. And I just read Todd is carrying water for
the Obama admin. It's one or the other, right? Or perhaps Greenwald is a bit off?

4. Chuck Todd (NBC)
Todd's book, according to agent Matthew Carnicelli, will be a "nuanced analytical narrative" that focuses on Obama's political relationship with Hillary Clinton. Todd has already met with both Obama and Clinton, Carnicelli says, showing that "few other journalists in D.C. or New York have the type of access he has." In return for that access, Greenwald grouses, Todd is offering himself up as "an amplifying vessel and justifier for whatever the White House happens to be saying at any given moment." The book is due out in 2012.

11. greenwald is a bitter pretzel who is
"alarmingly wrong" again.

"by Doug Kendall, President & Founder, and Hannah McCrea, Online Communications Director, of Constitutional Accountability Center (CAC)

Over at Salon, Glenn Greenwald has been urging calm among progressives who are appalled and angry at the Supreme Court’s ruling last week in Citizens United v. FEC, and accusing progressive critics of the ruling of over-simplifying the law and under-respecting the First Amendment. But his own analysis is surprisingly shallow and his burden is pretty high when he is essentially saying that Justice Stevens’ brilliant and comprehensive 90 page dissent, joined in full by Justices Ginsburg, Breyer, and Sotomayor, gets the Constitution wrong, and the five conservatives on the Roberts Court got this one right. He doesn’t come close to making that argument stick."

8. How many times did they ask if Obama had given up on health care reform?
With hope in their eyes that he would. That's why even GE-NBC is a waste of time. Turn off the corporate news bullshit.

9. Added to that, why is everyone acting as if this midterm is an aberration?
Why are they acting as if it is unusual for a president's party to lose seats in midterm elections?

They know better. So why are they doing this? Why are they acting as if a Democratic Party loss is an indictment on President Obama?

13. It figures that they are not with the changing times.
These might have been appropriate sentiments 4 months ago, but not now. Obama and the congressional Democrats chances look quite good now.
