No matter what happens, Specter switches back to a republican:
1. He loses the primary and switches. Why not? Go home where he belongs.
2. He wins the primary, wins the election in November and switches. He got what he wanted: Democrats to put him in, now he can go back home.
3. He wins the primary, loses the election in November and switches. Same as 1.

1. I doubt it. I think the Dems wil retail the majority in Nov. & it's
always more fun to be in the majority.

2. I don't live in Penny-save-belly State and can't vote for him
that Rethug switched to Dem, once again.....and + Mr. long-time-member-of-do-nothing-good-senate of 60....as age was their fear to vote on death.

4. If he wins he stays a Democrat... if he loses he fades into oblivian within 6 months....
There would be no reason to caucus with the Republicans anyways. They're the ones who abandoned him in the first place.

5. I don't think he'd be welcomed back to the party. This year is all about the Tea Bagger candidates
John McCain learned, but he learned too late. Toomey is the guy. Even if Arlen switches, his political career is over. He needs to just retire and enjoy the rest of his life out of politics.
