He had very good arguments that govt. should step in to help ordinary people. AND he made the point that he did not run as a referendum on Obama, he said will be a great ally in the Senate for Obama while still being his own man. He will not back down from Toomey either. PA Dems picked the right guy.

1. Why do they keep asking if Obama offered him a job. Is that illegal? NT

2. To make an issue of it.
Sestak won't go there so it is a non issue. I bet Rahm DID offer him something but the past is the past. I think the rift is going to be healed and Sestak will be a great vote in the WH. Sestak and Obama do not have views that are that different.

6. Good..I don't even know what he
looks like but this is a great statement from Tim Kaine on Sestak..

<snip>

"As the highest-ranking former military officer ever elected to Congress, Joe Sestak has served our country with honor. In the Senate, as he has done in the House of Representatives, Joe Sestak will stand up for the needs of Pennsylvania workers and families."

14. I remember him appearing before the Montco Dems
when he was first running for Congress (some of his district is in Montgomery County). I thought he was a little un-polished, but had the "right stuff".

If the worst someone can dig up about someone is that he is something of a tyrant with his staff, that's not so bad. Maybe I wouldn't take a job with him, but I'd rather hear someone works too hard than that they steal money or are a big hypocrite.

17. He should be fine
He's not go to be Dennis or anything, but if he runs the general like he ran the primary, he should do well. Very early on he did the whole "go town to town and talk to any group of 5 or more that would listen" thing. He was VERY well received and when talking to the local union guys, won them over big. Hopefully he can carry that through. He's gonna need our help, and he could use some of the kind of help that the POTUS and VP gave Specter, not to mention the DSCC.
