President Obama Burned in Effigy in Wisconsin Bar
WEST ALLIS - A bar owner could be in serious trouble with the federal government. He was videotaped burning a statue of President Obama.

And the whole thing was video taped. Click Here to watch raw video of the incident.

So far, the bar owner hasn't explained why a bar tender torched the statue of the President a cheering crowd.

People in West Allis were shouting and laughing as a bar tender torched the statue for the crowd. Flames tore through the statue with what looks like duct tape wrapped around it's neck.

West Allis Police say they found out about the incident after it was reported at Yester Years Pub and Grill on Greenfield Avenue.

And I thought of going back to that bar in the future, but not if it's inhabited by a bunch of inbred hatemongers. They lost my business.

3. Unless there was a specific, realistic threat made
I hope this is treated as an act of free speech. They may be drunk, ignorant assholes but people still have the right to demonstrate against the President in offensive ways.

6. They should be fined for the code violation
not for why they violated the code.

5. Agreed
I don't see the difference of burning a politician in effigy and burning the American flag. Unless they were making a real threat this is covered under the first amendment.
